Unfinished build for Ludum Dare 35. Theme: Shapeshifters
The idea is build a twin-stick shooter where the player's ship changes. The player may choose to activate the shift himself/herself when the "Shift Drive" is charged or it will activate after a certain amount of time. Upon activation, it will release an explosion that will cause serious damage to nearby enemies.
To DO:
Implement the Shift Drive Charge (now using a shift button as a placeholder to test)
Increse the number of ship types
UI icon for the shoot cooldown (where the current shift button is [?])
Sort Rendering Layers
Menus
Music and SFX
Improve background aesthetics
Wobble on hit
Increase the number of enemy types
Allow camera movement to allow major movement
Invulnerability period on hit + displace nearby enemies [?]
Add wandering asteroids... Shapeshifting asteroid maybe?
